Enrolling in Transitional Kindergarten marks the start of an exciting educational journey for your child. We are pleased you have chosen the Ross Valley School District to provide your child’s education and we welcome your family to our district.   On Monday, January 27, 2014, the Ross Valley School District will begin accepting registration forms for the 2014-15 school year for students entering Transitional Kindergarten. Registration packets are available at each school site.  Additionally, registration information and forms are available below to print out.

To register for Transitional Kindergarten for the 2014-15 school year, a child must have his/her 5th birthday between September 2 and December 2, 2014. The school your child will attend is based on your home address. If you are unsure which school your child will attend, please please visit our school boundaries page or contact the District Office for assistance at (415) 454-2162.  Parents/guardians register their child/ren at their School of Residence.  School offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm (except holidays).  Only complete registration packets are accepted, and each is date and time stamped upon receipt.  All resident students who register at the school in their attendance area for the following school year by March 1 shall be deemed to have enrollment priority.

Open Enrollment, Intradistrict and Interdistrict Attendance

Over the past few years, the Ross Valley School District has experienced increased enrollment, and, as such, our class sizes and facilities are impacted.  As we plan for the 2014-15 school year, please note that we do not anticipate having space at any of our schools for students who do not reside within our District attendance boundaries.  For information related to attendance of students who do not reside within the District’s or a District school’s attendance boundaries, please see below.

Romero Bill – Open Enrollment Act (living outside of District boundaries)

Intradistrict Attendance (living within District boundaries, but not in the boundaries of a District school)

Please note that decisions about Intradistrict Attendance may not be made until after the 10th day of the new school year.

Interdistrict Attendance (living outside of District boundaries)

To obtain a Request for Interdistrict Transfer Permit form, please contact the Ross Valley School District Office or the district office in your district of residence.
