White Hill Middle School is the
middle school for the three elementary feeder schools in the Ross
Valley School District. Located on the edge of Fairfax at the base
of White’s Hill, surrounded by hills and residential housing, our
school sits on a 22-acre site that includes Lefty Gomez Field. It
was built in 1969 and went through major renovation in 1984-85,
prior to becoming the middle school for the combined Fairfax and
San Anselmo districts.
White Hill serves approximately 600 sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. The White Hill program offers academic challenge and breadth of opportunity through its core educational program, enrichment and elective classes, and student activities program. Specialized credentialed teachers teach students fine arts, foreign language, and physical education. Thirty-seven teachers, seventeen classified staff, one counselor, and two administrators implement our rich and rigorous educational program at White Hill. Parent and community support are very high.
In 2005-2006 White Hill received an overall
API ranking of 876, among the highest middle schools in the county.
While being compared to our “Similar Schools” (meaning compared to
schools with similar size and demographics) White Hill received 10
out of 10, the highest score possible. Go White Hill!

We are very proud of the rich academic program that we offer our students at White Hill Middle School. Our nurturing safe environment provides our students a comfortable place to learn. There are three very basic things that we expect from our students everyday; learn, behave, and have fun. Come on out and visit White Hill and experience a great middle school community.
Sincerely,
Michele M. Patterson, Principal
